Current Synergies
GlobalVantage strives to lead the way to provide the highest quality and most technologically advanced engineering and manufacturing services available.
To achieve this goal, GlobalVantage is continuously evaluating new Strategic Alliances and Memberships to renowned associations in order to develop its global capabilities. With international partnerships operating throughout the world, GlobalVantage has developed synergistic relationships with top aerospace organizations and manufacturing companies. Utilizing GlobalVantage’s strong infrastructure in cooperation with other international entities, GlobalVantage is excited to develop new technologies and services to provide for mutual growth and lasting relationships.
GlobalVantage and its international partner AcQ Inducom have identified a number of technology programs which will further expand Mexico’s aerospace engineering capability.
For 2009, the companies have identified a technology project to design and develop an Advanced Cockpit Data Recorder. This project will require the development of a software system using DO-178B standards in combination with development of hardware using the DO-254 process. The total program will include participation from AcQ Inducom (The Netherlands), ITESO University in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, and GlobalVantage.
The Advanced Cockpit Data Recorder is an innovative device that will store video data recorded inside the cockpit, together with other aircraft related data, including navigation data, a/c attitude and audio. It can provide recorded information about the behaviour of the flight crew in operational situations so that conclusions can be drawn based on facts provided by that information. Navigation data is provided either from an existing GPS source or an embedded GPS chip inside the data recorder; the Attitude data is to be provided by the Airborne Heading-Attitude Reference System (AHARS) data available in all EFIS-equipped aircraft. The data recorder can be tailored to the requirements of customers for specific aircraft and usage.
This association was established in November 2007 and actually has 38 members or associates which generate exports over 2,400 millions of USD. Their mission is To promote and empower the aerospace sector favoring the industrial, technological and innovation developments, generating high skill labor and consolidating our sector in more value added activities.
Among their objectives is to work with our associates in finding their needs of specific employment, and work together with COMEA, Universities and Technical schools on establishing the appropriate training programs on demand for this sector.
COMEA associates twelve institutions forming human resources as well as research and technology development in aerospace activities and is oriented to:
- Growing requirement of high skill human resources from specialized training and technicians to engineers or graduates.
- Foster engineering, research and technological development
- Reference to join efforts and the orderly development of competencies and capabilities of workforce.
Like in any other industry, but especially in those with a high level of knowledge, the idea of teaming up with Universities and Technological Institutes to create training programs and transfer know-how becomes essential to sustain growth.
Academia is the best place to converge companies’ ideas and resources to foster technology innovation and to create a pipeline of skilled personnel to implement the new knowledge into particular research programs and on-going projects for continuous improvement.
In the emerging aerospace industry in Mexico, Universities across the country play an important role in the development of the required skills as an unprecedented symbiosis occur between the aerospace companies established in Mexico and the new academic or training programs being offered.
GlobalVantage has developed deep relationships with the following Universities for different programs such as internships, research and development, teaching, training and certification programs:
